Dr. SK Shukla, M.Sc., Ph.D, Director, Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad had completed his M.Sc. in 1974 and was awarded Ph.D. degree in 1978 in the field of Chemistry from Agra University, Agra.

Dr. Shukla joined BPR&D as Research Fellow during 1975-1978, was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in CSIR during 1979 to March, 1982 and worked as Pool Officer in CSIR from March, 1982 to July, 1984.

Dr. Shukla had joined Forensic Science Laboratory, Madhuban, Haryana as Senior Scientific Officer (Chemistry), in July, 1984 and worked until January, 1994. On selection as Assistant Director, he joined in the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Chandigarh in January, 1994 and continued till March, 1997. He was selected as Deputy Director and posted to CFSL, Hyderabad from March, 1997 to October, 2005. Dr. Shukla took over the post of Director, CFSL, Hyderabad in October, 2005.

Dr. Shukla has more than 80 research paper publications in various reputed national/ international journals to his credit and had also presented more than 100 research papers in various conferences/ seminars.

Dr. Shukla is a recipient of Union Home Minister’s Award, 2003 in Forensic Chemical Sciences.

While serving at various State/Central Forensic Science Laboratories, Dr. Shukla had examined cases related to Chemistry, Narcotics, Petroleum products, Toxicology & Explosives and had given expert opinion and deposed expert evidence in various Courts of Law from time to time.

In addition to duties assigned, presently engaged in implementation of Quality Programmes in Forensic Science Laboratories in India.
